The course lasts one month. You complete a minimum of 40 hours and up to 50 hours within that month.

The 40-hour minimum is made up of 36 hours in the classroom (three sessions a week, 8:00–11:00am, for four weeks) and 4 hours from your four online BrightSafe certificates (1 hour each). If you come on more days, you can reach up to 50 hours.

Yes. Part of your training is hands-on, serving real customers at Yasmina Cafe.

Yes, graduates are welcome to apply for jobs with others and with us. We can't promise a vacancy, but you'll finish with real experience and recognised certificates.

No experience is needed. The course is suitable for complete beginners.

You need to complete a minimum of 40 hours within the month (you can do up to 50), including the 4 hours from your online certificates, and the 40 hours are needed for your Certificate of Competence. Please tell us as soon as you know you'll miss a session and we'll help you plan the hours.

The early-bird price is £250 for the first 10 paid places. After that the price is £350.

You can pay by card, and we'll send you the payment details after you apply. Once we receive your payment, the Academy team confirms your place and application code from theacademy@yasminacafe.com.

No. This is a training course, so it is not paid employment.

Four BrightSafe certificates, free in the course (Fluids & Nutrition, Food Allergen Awareness, Food Safety Awareness and HACCP Awareness), which you complete online through BrightHR by 15 November 2026, plus a Yasmina Academy Certificate of Competence for those who meet its requirements (see below).

Four BrightSafe certificates are included in your course, and you complete them online through BrightHR: Fluids & Nutrition, Food Allergen Awareness, Food Safety Awareness and HACCP Awareness. Each certificate counts as 1 hour, so together they give the 4 online hours in your 40-hour minimum. Please complete all four by 15 November 2026.

Once a certificate has been issued, the Academy team marks it as Issued in your student portal and its hour is added to your total hours automatically (up to 4 hours in all). Your portal shows each of the four certificates with its status, so you can see which ones are done.

The BrightSafe certificates are awareness certificates in four specific subjects, issued through BrightSafe with CPD accreditation. The Yasmina Academy Certificate of Competence is issued by us and shows you can make and serve drinks to our standard. You only receive it if you meet its requirements (see below).

The Yasmina Academy Certificate of Competence requires three things: attending at least 3 days a week, completing a minimum of 40 hours (including the 4 hours from your four online BrightSafe certificates), and passing the assessment. Attendance and hours alone are not enough without passing the assessment.

Arabic, English or both, whichever suits you.

You must be 16 or over (the minimum age is 16). If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's consent, which we ask for on the application form. You don't need a work permit to join the course.

Apply online at academy.yasminacafe.com. The application asks for your home address and an emergency contact. On your first day, please bring photo ID for us to check in person; we don't keep a copy.

You won't get an automatic email when you apply. Instead, the Academy team will contact you from theacademy@yasminacafe.com within 1 working day with your next steps and card payment details. Your place and application code are confirmed once we receive your payment. If you haven't heard from us within 1 working day, email theacademy@yasminacafe.com.

When the Academy team accepts your application (after you've paid and booked), they create your student login for portal.yasminacafe.com. To sign in, enter your email address and we'll email you a 6-digit code, so there's no password to remember. Then you can follow your progress: your hours, weekly attendance, assessment readiness checklist, skills, feedback we've shared with you, your upcoming sessions and your BrightSafe certificates. Your upcoming sessions follow the days you signed up for (from Monday 2 November, 8:00–11:00am); if you chose flexible days, or fewer than three, the portal says the Academy team will confirm your session days. If the code doesn't arrive, check your junk folder, then email theacademy@yasminacafe.com.

We use your details only to run your application and training, take payment, set up your student account, record your attendance and issue your certificates. Your name is shared with BrightSafe so they can issue your certificates, and your attendance is recorded through BrightHR. We also keep your home address and an emergency contact, used only to keep you safe during training; we check your ID in person and keep no copy. Trainee records are kept for 6 years. If your application doesn't go ahead, it is kept for 12 months and then deleted, and an unpaid application with no activity is deleted after 12 months. We never sell your data. Our full privacy policy explains your rights, and Yasmina Cafe Ltd is registered with the ICO (ZC274973).
